NGC 2264
AKA Cone Nebula, Type: Bright Nebula, Const: Monoceros, Mag: 3.9, Size: 20'
- 04-Feb-12 - HX916 image of NGC 2264 (LX10 OTA at f/4.6 on
G11, Ha exposure of 465 minutes total exposure [a stack
of 15x15 minute unbinned Ha-filtered from the 11th and
8x30 minute unbinned Ha-filtered from the 12th], from
Oceanside [seeing 5 (12th) and 7 (11th), transparency 3
(11th) and 5 (12th)], STV guided through ST80 at f/6).
Processing: AIP (dark calibration, stacking), MaxIm DL
(DDP - FFT Low-Pass Mild).
- 03Mar02 - HX916 image of
NGC 2264 (f/5.4, TV101 on G11,
LRGB of 40:18:18:18 [4 x 10 minute unbinned L, 5 x 3
minute 2x2 binned RGBs], STV eFinder guided, from Anza
(seeing 8, transp 9, tracking 0.6X, 0.9Y @ 1
second). Processing: AIP (dark calibration and
stacking), MaxIm (2X resizing of RGBs), AIP (color
combine and G2V color balance), PaintShop (LLRGB
processing, rotate to North-up orientation). Alternative LLRGB processing.
- 2002-Dec-03 - HX916 image
of NGC 2264 (f/6.3, Meade LX10,
an LRGB composite of 31:20:20:20 minutes of exposure,
luminance from 2001-Nov-11 below (L+IR), 10x2 minute
RGBs binned 2x2), STV guided, from Anza (seeing 8,
transp 9, tracking 3.5X, 3.2Y @ 0.5 sec]). Processing:
AIP (dark and flat calibration, stacking, color
registration, color balanced G2V then Black Sky). Note
the seriously out of focus blue filter. :( I'll have to
check into this.

minute total exposure [a stack of 21 1 minute and 5 2 minute
images), STV guided, binned 2x2, only dark frames applied,
DDP with default parameters applied in AIP, from LBV)
