Andromeda Galaxy: NGC 224, Const: Andromeda, Type: Galaxy, Mag: 3.4,
Size: 178'x63'
- 2008-Oct-23 SXV image
of M31 (TV101 OTA at f/5.4 on
G11, LRGB of 65:20:20:15 [a stack of 13x5 minute
unbinned Luminance, 4x5 minute binned 2x2 RGBs], from
Cadillac, MI [seeing 5 (moderate gusts), transparency
8], guided with SXV guidehead at 170mm on ST80 guided
through MaxIm). Processing: Maxim (noise filter,
alignment, stacking, DDP on luminance, 2X resize of
RGBs, color combine and balance).
- 2002-Oct-05 - HX916 image of M31 (f/4.6, Meade LX10, 20 minutes
of exposure (10x2 unfiltered L binned 2x2), STV guided, from
Benson, AZ [seeing 4, transparency 8, tracking 2.6X, 2.7Y @
1.0 sec (a little breezy)]). Processing: AIP (calibration,
stacking), MaxIm (User-Defined Transfer Function, Unsharp
Masked).
- M31
(Andromeda Galaxy) (210mm@f/4, Meade LX10, piggybacked on
LX10 30 minutes STV guided, Fuji Superia 800, LBV,
11/22/00). Five planes flew through this exposure, three of
them visible in this subframe scan. Some wind-induced jiggle
is visible in the elongation of the stars.
- 9/23/00 - A quick and
dirty mosaic of M31 using 3 STV images.
This was a spontaneous thing and it shows in the odd spacing
and overlap. (f/3.75, Meade LX10, track and accumulate (5 of 10
(upper left), 4 of 10 (center), and 4 of 10 (lower right)
seconds), all in wide mode, from LBV).
